A leading Canadian organization in the security and life safety solutions industry is growing, and we're looking for an Account Executive to join their team in Vancouver, BC.
In this role, you'll focus on new business development in a defined vertical (such as utilities, healthcare, government, or data centers) while also providing exceptional service to existing clients.
You'll bring strategic thinking, energy, and integrity to every conversation. You will be supported by industry-leading tools, training, and a collaborative work environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Drive new business in your vertical market by identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers
- Conduct site visits, assess client needs, and craft tailored proposals
- Collaborate closely with sales, product, and marketing teams to align on strategy and execution
- Stay on top of market trends, pricing changes, and competitive insights
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and customer events
- Manage your sales pipeline using CRM tools and reporting metrics
- Be a trusted advisor to clients, offering consultative, value-based solutions
- A motivated self-starter who loves building relationships and delivering results
- Organized, goal-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-opportunity environment
- An excellent communicator — both in person and in writing
- Curious, coachable, and confident presenting to all levels of stakeholders
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and sales tools (CRM)
- Comfortable working independently, yet always ready to collaborate
- 3–5+ years of experience in B2B sales (experience in security, tech, SaaS, or building systems is a bonus)
- Strong knowledge of your vertical market and its unique challenges
- Experience in solution-based selling or consultative sales
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within your territory
