- Client is looking for a Guidewire Functional Systems Specialist with proven experience with implementation of Guidewire Claims Centre and Canadian workers compensation knowledge. The Guidewire Functional Systems Specialist should have strong experience with implementation projects delivered following Agile methodology.
Knowledge & Skills
- Working with Agile practices and associated skills including user story writing and defining user acceptance criteria
- Strong experience with Guidewire on premise as well as Guidewire cloud systems specifically with GW Claim Center
- ClaimCentre Cloud certified against the latest cloud release, with a minimum of Analyst Associate certification (although ACE level preferred)
- Understand Guidewire implementation methodology and processes
- Analyze a broadly-defined area and using functional decomposition to define high-level epics and stories
- Create a well-organized, value-driven framework to provide the required business value in the Product Backlog.
- Write individual stories that are very clear and concise and are easy to understand and implement by the development team.
- Identify related user stories and epics, group them into themes as necessary and document the interrelationship and associated business process flows
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and present them in simple terms to nontechnical team members and clients.
- Proven experience with end-to-end business process mapping, business and technical requirements analysis, business planning, modeling, verification and methodology and product development.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Analytical, evaluation and problem-solving skills, to assess client requirements and translate these into functional and information documentation (e.g. re process/IT requirements and changes).
- Skills include conflict management, negotiation and facilitation skills to assist in resolving issues, diffuse conflicts and handle escalated sensitive issues from team members and to alert project sponsors of serious repercussions.

- Provide support to the technical teams and business clients throughout the enterprise by conducting in-depth analysis.
- Maintain effective working relationships with the business to discuss and resolve issues, understand current state and business processes, identify future needs and opportunities to fully support business data and report needs.
- Review, validate and make necessary updates to the requirements to ensure they are complete and free of ambiguity
- Create, review and maintain requirements traceability
- Facilitate requirements review and signoff with required stakeholders
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
- Participate in daily SCRUMs, forums, product demos and working groups varying in scope and complexity
- Work on reports and presentation materials.
- Provide input/feedback for Sprints planning
- Fill SCRUM master role if required
- Support all required streams, throughout all phases of the project, with clarifications around requirements, process flow system use cases etc.
- Perform testing activities as per defined Sprints schedule
