We are looking for new team members excited to take on a new opportunity working at Canadian Tire Kanata. We are seeking individuals interested in entry-level positions for Cleaning Services. Below is a brief overview of general tasks please apply and reach out for additional information!

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times (uniform, hygiene, grooming, and name tag).
  • Foster and maintain a customer first culture within the store environment.
  • Perform cleaning duties throughout the store including floors, washrooms, break areas, and other common spaces.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are consistently maintained.
  • Assist with garbage and recycling removal following store procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
  • Support other departments by maintaining clean and organized spaces.
  • Maintain a high level of organization in janitorial storage areas.
Major Requirements and Competencies:
  • Ability to follow cleaning schedules, guidelines, and assigned tasks.
  • Understanding of cleaning products and their appropriate use.
  • Ability to provide professional customer service and employee support when needed.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to maintain composure and work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Punctuality and reliable attendance are a must.
  • Effective communication skills both written and oral.
  • Willingness to learn and use basic store technology as needed.
Policy, Procedures, Standards:
  • Work in accordance with Canadian Tire best practices in service delivery, customer values, store operations, as well as relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Engage in staff development initiatives to ensure standards are understood and consistently met.
  • Keep current with materials outlined in the Policy and Procedures Employee Manual.
  • Follow all store health & safety programs and provincial occupational health and safety regulations; report any hazards or potential hazards immediately.
  • Participate in store meetings and training sessions as required.
