THE ROLE
STRIVE is working with a respected third-party logistics company in search of a Training Specialist to join their warehouse operations team in Etobicoke, ON. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual who is passionate about workplace safety, employee development, and operational excellence.
In this role, youll be responsible for delivering hands-on training programs that support new hires and current team members across a variety of operational and safety protocols. From onboarding and forklift certification to WMS instruction and health & safety coaching, youll ensure team members are well-equipped to perform their roles safely and effectively. Youll also pitch in with general warehouse support when training is not actively scheduled.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct onboarding and ongoing training for employees in safety, equipment operation, warehouse systems, and quality procedures
- Maintain a consistent training schedule and provide refresher sessions as needed
- Support training in additional areas based on operational needs
- Audit employee performance and processes to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and inventory standards
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation
- Promote and uphold workplace safety in line with OHSA and internal policies
- Identify opportunities to improve health, safety, and operational performance
- Communicate safety goals, updates, and training outcomes to the team
- Assist with general warehouse duties when training is not in progress (e.g., picking, loading/unloading)
- Notify management of any health and safety concerns or risks
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience operating MHE (ex: Reach Truck, Order Picker, Dockstockers, Walkies and Counterbalance)
- Certified MHE Trainer (or willing to obtain certification)
- Prior experience delivering training in a warehouse or industrial setting is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a changing environment
- Strong understanding of health & safety standards and warehouse procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Comfortable working in environments ranging from 2 to -30C
- Willingness to travel to different locations within the region
