Job Summary & Qualifications:
CPA designation required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 5 years' experience in public accounting, ideally within a real estate development or property management environment.
Experience in corporate tax planning, HST/GST compliance, & tax reporting is essential.
Strong knowledge of Canadian tax regulations, including corporate income tax, HST/GST, & real estate tax issues.
Lead the corporate tax structuring for various entities within the portfolio, ensuring optimal tax planning & compliance
Manage tax filings for corporate income tax, HST/GST, & other applicable taxes in compliance with federal, provincial, & local tax laws.
Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax authorities, handling inquiries, audits, & disputes effectively and professionally.
