OVERVIEW

Working under the direct supervision the successful candidate will support project design efforts for pipelines and facilities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
Produce designs and layouts of pipelines and piping facilities to meet client specifications
Produce design packages which may include Plot Plans, PID's, General Arrangements, Isometrics and Bills of Material.
Coordinate with the Squad Leader to ensure that company and/or client drawing standards and specifications are followed as required
Coordinating with the Squad Leader, check and review drawing packages for completeness and ensure they are ready for presentation
Assist the Squad Lead in maintaining project schedule

QUALIFICATIONS
2 year Drafting Design Diploma from an accredited technical institution
Minimum of 5 years of piping design experience in pipelines or related facilities
Able to work on multiple, smaller projects simultaneously
5 years of AutoCAD experience
Minimum of 5 years experience in Engineering and Construction industry

SKILLS
Proficient in current editions of design software (i.e. AutoCAD, CADWorx 3D) and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of industry/ regulatory codes and standards
Must be familiar with piping specifications, administrative and technical practices, design instructions, plot plans, flow diagrams and interpreting vendor information
Able to conceptualize and draw design details independently with minor instruction from project engineering
Ability to read a P&ID
Knowledge of pipe support requirements
Highly motivated and eager to contribute to an effective and efficient design/ drafting team
