- Responsible for providing leadership; instilling a sense of urgency; and driving problems towards resolution by directing, and monitoring production Team Leaders and production personnel in the following areas:
- Ensuring proper quality information is being used for each part produced
- Ensuring that the IPC quality checks, first-off, SWI, WI, and LPA procedures are being followed on each shift.
- Attending meetings in support of all Program-related activities, NCR processes, CAPA (8D), and all other Quality Management System requirements as needed
- Setting and achieving specific goals around Lean Manufacturing principles
- Ensuring that conflict and productivity issues are managed directly, constructively, and professionally in all circumstances.
- Lead and manage production Team Members including resource planning; training; and performance management
- Supervision of sanitation program requirements within assigned areas
- Coordination of tasks for daily production to ensure OTIF is achieved
- Manage order preparation through tax stamp and label preparation, and scheduling
- Verify and approve label information to ensure accuracy
- Create an environment that encourages active process improvement discussion in the context of business goals.
- Report out on related production KPI's; creating, managing and reporting corrective action plan vs actual results
- Employee reviews and discipline as required
- Control inventory within the department (i.e., tax stamp inventory and label inventory)
- Manage the day-to-day Warehousing for non cannabis and the pick and pack product line
- Oversee the day to day outbound shipments to ensure that OTIF is achieved.
- Ensure that all SAP transactions are completed on time.
- Identify opportunities, scope projects and forecast resources to achieve productivity, quality and service improvement targets for the business.
- Ensure enforcement of Customer Specific Requirements and maintaining compliance with the laws and regulations
- Adhere to all Cronos Group and departmental procedures as required
- Perform regular workplace inspections, accident investigation, and correct unsafe acts or conditions. Train new/transferred/temporary employees on safe method of conducting their job. Correct or commend Health & Safety performance.
- May be required to carry out job duties and responsibilities in a work environment that may include, but is not limited to, varying levels of noise and/or temperature.
- Perform, direct and/or carry out any reasonable assignments required by Management.
- Required to work overtime as needed
- Work environment can be warm and humid environment.
- Lifting up to 15- 20 lbs
- Standing & walking for long periods of time
- Frequent bending, kneeling and reaching.
- Ability to perform a series of repetitive operations requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a lab or similar highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business Management or related environment, preferred
- Strong mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude
- Well-developed communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience using an ERP system, SAP preferred
- Sound computer skills, including knowledge of software in current use (Microsoft Excel and Access)
- Proven leadership ability (previous supervisory experience, preferred)
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, an asset
- Thorough knowledge and experience in packaging procedures
- Able to supply acceptable Criminal Record Check
