LOCATION: While this position is remote you must reside in the Toronto Area
We are looking for a skilled and ambitious Parts & Service Sales Representative who will be responsible for Parts Sales primarily in Ontario and The Maritimes (PEI, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland & Labrador) (travel outside of these states will be periodically required) for our Concrete and Asphalt Plants & Equipment Parts Sales Division. The Parts & Service Sales Representative will engage in outside sales efforts to generate new business for the company while maintaining accounts and relationships with existing clients. Deliverables & Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of Astec's goals, services, clients, and processes.
- Oversee all customer account management, sales, credit problems, warranties, and business development in Territory.
- Attend industry trade shows, meetings and conventions to enhance knowledge of the industry, keep current on trends, and garner business meetings, trade shows, and conventions.
- Attend customer service school hosted by Astec and other functions as necessary.
- Achieve quality results as it relates to the Company's vision and mission.
- Promote and educate others on Astec's core values.
- Follow company policies, procedures and safety rules at all times.
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
- Five years' experience in the construction/concrete/aggregate/asphalt industry with a mechanical and machinery-related industry is preferred.
- Must be able to work cross-functionally and as a team.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, policies and procedures within the concrete or aggregates manufacturing industries.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM or similar customer relationship management software.
- Capacity to learn quickly, adaptable, professional, courteous, and self-motivated.
- Work from home; autonomous, disciplined and well organized.
- Strong communication skills, ability to handle and resolve customer complaints and ability to solve practical problems related to parts are required.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, cope with pressures, deadlines, and rapidly changing situations.
- Overnight travel is required.
