This is a working leadership role that blends mechanical expertise with scheduling and coordination responsibilities. You'll play a key role in ensuring the safety, performance, and compliance of our fleet while supporting the development of your team.

- Licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician and/or 310S Automotive Service Technician (both preferred)
- Strong mechanical skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Proven leadership experience or natural ability to lead and mentor others
- WHMIS and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a shop environment
- Strong communication, organization, and scheduling abilities
- Supervise and support technicians and shop staff
- Assign work orders and oversee daily workflow
- Ensure quality, timely completion of maintenance and repairs
- Provide guidance and mentorship to newer technicians
- Schedule and track preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
- Verify that all documentation and procedures meet National Safety Code standards
- Work closely with the Fleet Manager to monitor performance and compliance
- Approve and track repairs exceeding $500
- Order parts and supplies through preferred vendors to maximize savings
- Monitor shop inventory and recommend purchases for tools and equipment
- Ensure the shop is clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Reinforce safe work practices and procedures
- Support waste disposal and environmental compliance efforts
- Share insights on mechanical issues and repair strategies
- Assist with fuel management, work orders, and documentation
- Communicate regularly to ensure alignment on shop priorities
