Position Description and Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on the IBM i (AS400) platform using RPG, CL, and SQL.
- Work on application modernization projects, including API integration (REST/SOAP).
- Design and optimize DB2 for i (AS400) databases, including indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures.
- Develop and integrate web services (REST APIs, JSON, XML) for interoperability with modern applications.
- Utilize IBM i Web Services to extend AS400 functionalities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend and backend developers.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of AS400/iSeries experience in RPG, CLP, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with APIs (REST), JSON, XML, and web service integration.
- Experience with cloud integration (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Understanding of security best practices for IBM i applications.
