We have an immediate opening for a Corporate Law Clerk with strong technical, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Providing independent professional support services;
- Preparing and drafting various corporate documents, including those relating to:
- Incorporations and dissolutions;
- Amalgamations;
- Amendments and changes; and
- Annual and other resolutions;
- Preparing minute book summaries and identifying deficiencies;
- Assisting lawyers and law clerks with respect to various matters, including due diligence reviews;
- Preparing documentation related to mergers, acquisitions, financings, share/asset purchase and sale transactions and reorganizations;
- Updating of information in the corporate database and other record keeping systems; and
- Other duties as assigned.
- College degree/Certificate in law clerk studies, or equivalent work experience;
- Minimum two years' experience as a business law clerk in a law firm or corporation;
- Client-service oriented, including strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Proven ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and adjust to changing needs of the firm;
- Good judgement and organizational skills, and
- High attention to detail.
