Little Steps currently has in place a LMIA, issued by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), a document authorizing a Canadian employer to hire a foreign worker. We will sponsor and pay up to $6000 in re-location costs.

Role: Speech Language Therapist
Position: Part Time or Full Time (Flexible Hours)
Location: Victoria, BC

Little Steps Therapy Services is a multidisciplinary service provider for children and youth in the Greater Victoria Area. Our clinical team includes Speech Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Behavior Analysts, and Behavior Interventionists. Our clinical team works collaboratively as a team while including their families, to ensure each child is meeting their full potential. We believe in providing neurodiverse affirming services for our clients and their families in a play based natural environment.

Duties:

  • Direct Client Therapy
  • Complete formal and informal client assessments
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions
  • Develop client-specific therapeutic programs
  • Supervise Behavioral Interventionists in the implementation of programs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Develop and maintain a schedule for client services
  • Complete progress notes and reports as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology
  • Eligibility for College of Health and Care Professionals of BC membership (Little Steps will pay for cost of exam and first year of registration)
  • Able to write clearly, concisely, and professionally
  • Able to develop programs based on critical thinking, reasoning, reflection, and evidence-based practice
