Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Summer Student Maintenance Landscaper to assist with outdoor maintenance and landscaping tasks across multiple residential and administrative locations. This role is ideal for students interested in gaining hands-on experience, staying active, and working in a supportive and inclusive community organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular grounds maintenance including lawn mowing, trimming, and watering
- Weed and maintain garden beds and outdoor green spaces
- Assist with basic repairs and upkeep of outdoor furniture and fixtures
- Maintain outdoor cleanliness (e.g., sweeping, debris removal)
- Support with small painting or minor outdoor project tasks
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times
- Work as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
- Must be a current full-time student returning to school in the fall
- Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and safety practices is an asset
- Valid G2/G drivers license and access to a vehicle is an asset (but not required)
