- Responds to demand requests and/or recommendations via XOi, email and/or phone in a timely manner.
- As required, the quotation specialist is responsible for maintaining relationships with suppliers and equipment vendors. These relationships can be used to keep track of current pricing and to negotiate better rates for long-term or large-scale projects when required.
- Assist in opportunities, administration, tracking and forecasting.
- Distribute quotations and follow up in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate technical expertise and maintain a high level of credibility.
- Upload quotations into a third-party portal when required, submit directly to clients, or send to National Accounts for processing depending on contract requirements.
- Maintaining a record of quotations (approved, pending, rejected) and providing follow-up with customers when required.
- Works closely with service technicians to ensure our commitments to the customer are kept.
- Familiar with departmental routines to provide effective backup when required.
- Facilitate communication with other team members, sub-contractors' staff and other employees.
- Provide support to the reconcilers and billing department upon completion of work to ensure profit margins are in line with the quotation and that work was completed within the quoted parameters.
- Provide support and advice on new potential businesses opportunities.
- Editing and revising submissions according to feedback.
- Provide support to the business development and contracts department if required.
- Complete contracts templates if required.
- 2+ years experience in a similar role with strong industry experience
- Experience with RFP/RFQ processes, an asset
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, autonomy, flexibility, and attention to detail.
- Able to work under pressure and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
- Industry experience in technical trades, an asset.
