Role Summary:

The Director of Digital Marketing will lead, implement and manage the digital marketing strategy for Round Room Live and its touring properties. The candidate will enhance brand awareness, as well as drive consumer engagement and ticket revenue. They will be responsible for paid and organic campaigns, email marketing, website and data management as well as providing analysis of KPIs and benchmarks. The Director of Digital Marketing will be expected to lead external vendors, collaborate internally and stay on top of trends within the digital landscape to incorporate best practices to Round Room Live's current tactics.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies to promote Round Room Live's productions and events across various online platforms.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to cohesively create and integrate the digital marketing strategy within the wider multi-channel marketing plan.
  • Manage all aspects of digital advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, creative direction, copywriting, targeting, optimization, and performance analysis, to drive ticket sales and ROI.
  • Create compelling and engaging content for digital channels, including social media, email marketing, website, and digital ads, to attract, engage and convert audiences.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as website traffic, conversion rates, click-through rates, and social media engagement, to identify areas for improvement and optimize campaign effectiveness.
  • Lead e-CRM and organic/paid social strategies
  • Lead and coordinate Data Management.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors to support digital marketing initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging digital marketing trends and technologies.
  • Research competitors to stay current within the marketplace.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in Digital Marketing.
  • Previous experience in the entertainment industry or e-commerce is an asset.
  • Proven track record of digital marketing success.
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with web analytics tools (eg. Google Analytics, MBM, Sprout, Delight).
  • Deep understanding of MailChimp or other e-CRM software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to convey subject matter expertise clearly and simply.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Innovative, creative, positive and collaborative.
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Google certification is a plus but not required

Location: This position is remote with preference for candidates based in the Greater Toronto area. Travel may be required.

Recruitment Process:

  1. Round 1: Screening Video Call with People & Culture Lead
    • Initial screening conducted by the People & Culture Lead to assess candidate fit and qualifications.
  2. Round 2: Team Interview with Marketing Team
    • Interview with the Marketing Team to evaluate candidate's skills, experience, and cultural fit within the department.
  3. Performance Task
    • Candidates who advance to this stage will be given a performance task to complete, allowing them to demonstrate their abilities relevant to the role.
  4. Round 3: Final Round with Hiring Managers (VP of Marketing and CEO)
    • Final interview round with key decision-makers, including the VP of Marketing and CEO, to assess candidate suitability for the position and organizational alignment.
