General Duties:
Responsible to source and acquire goods and/or services needed to support operations. Enlist suppliers that provide uninterrupted parts/service availability. This role includes but is not limited to: supplier communications related to establishing approved sources, submitting quotes for delivery timing and pricing, scheduling on-time delivery, and obtaining the best value from our suppliers.
Essential Job Functions:
• Enforce commercial terms and conditions and all contractual requirements.
• Maintain procurement capability within the operations.
• Managing RFQ/RFP activities
• Issue Purchase Orders and Manage PO revisions;
• Ensure that procurement activities are conducted in accordance with the company Quality Assurance Manual and other company policies and procedures.
• Develops and maintains supplier relationships; negotiates for the best possible pricing.
• Communicates with supplier on non-conformance issues, and escalates as needed.
• Work closely with accounts payables to reconcile invoices and provide supporting documentation.
• Support Business Development in coordinating the costing efforts for various proposals.
• Assist where required to expedite POs and confirm delivery.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery of materials and components.
• Work closely with Production Management and Design to review material requirements and ensure daily communication on all delays or issues regarding Delivery on Time targets.
Skills and Experiences:
• Minimum of (5) years procurement experience.
• Experience working with government and commercial procurement contracts.
• Extensive knowledge of procurement procedures and related regulations.
• Experience working with ERP information systems and MRP systems.
Education:
• Minimum of (5) years procurement experience.
