As an Android Mobile Developer, you excel at delivering modern mobile applications on the Android platform. You love turning product requirements into reality, and you enjoy working as one member of an agile team. You also enjoy promoting best practices and delivering high quality mobile applications with beautiful user interfaces. What you will be doing:
  • Deliver mobile feature enhancements for our flagship Telematics SaaS.
  • Liaise with Product Owners, Architects, UX Designers and team members on how to execute on our vision.
  • Participate in all phases of our iterative development cycle, including epic elaboration, story grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos and retrospectives.
  • Automate our development process as we strive for Continuous Integration and Delivery.
  • Help establish and disseminate our best practices for mobile development.
  • Assist and mentor team members, ensuring high quality results get delivered on-time.
  • Clearly articulate ideas both verbally and written, with a positive attitude.
  • Appreciate and acknowledge individual and team contributions.
What you must have:
  • Have a degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Have strong native development experience on Android.
  • Have 2+ years of experience programing in Kotlin for Android.
  • Have experience with contemporary unit and integration testing for mobile platforms.
  • Have experience with contemporary design patterns used in mobile development.
  • Excel at troubleshooting mobile applications.
  • Have experience using Jira and Git.
  • Embrace contemporary Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Android Java experience an asset.
  • iOS experience in Swift or Objective-C is an asset.
  • Server-side development experience in Java an asset.
