REW summer content project

At REW, we believe that real estate is one of life's great adventures. And, as we've helped Canadians navigate these uncharted waters, we've become the best real estate search platform in the country, and the leading marketplace in BC with an audience twice the size of our nearest rival.

A key part of being the leading online real estate marketplace experience is including content on all new home developments in our communities. To ensure we've got the latest and greatest content on site, we are undertaking a New Homes summer content project.

The Project

We work with real estate developers who provide information on their projects to buyers on REW. To serve the market effectively, we also source as much information as possible for the other new home development opportunities in BC that we do not receive directly.
This summer project will focus on these opportunities, with the aim of improving and increasing our current development listing inventory of available opportunities in the market.

The Project Tasks

  • Undertake a database review to ensure content is up-to-date and displayed correctly on site
  • Curate content directly from new home developers, sales teams, and marketing professionals on new condominium, townhouse, and single-family home developments in the Lower Mainland (BC)
  • Build a list of active/open Development Presentation Centres - and visit them to collect marketing collateral (if necessary)
  • Ensure content is rich with information, accurate, and engaging
  • Create and maintain partner brand profiles on the platform
  • Execute content production and publishing

Who We Need

We are looking for two Content Analysts to help complete this project.

As a Content Analyst, you will tell the story of exciting new communities to homeseekers. You will keep an eye on what is being built and brought to market by new home developers and by doing so, you will learn about the future of real estate and what it means to our communities.

You will have the opportunity to source content that is displayed to users of REW.ca, and along the way, grow your experiences in the industry. Accurate details are as important as discovering new opportunities in the market.

The Content Analyst(s)

The project would suit individuals who are curious about real estate developments and looking to learn more about the industry, including Real Estate Students.

To complete the project, you must:

  • Have your own equipment to use (computer, phone)
  • Be comfortable with spreadsheets and large sets of data
  • Have strong writing skills and an eye for detail
  • Be able to use, or willing to learn to use, web content publishing and management software
  • Be highly organized and able to keep a structured system of files and documents
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating over the phone and email
  • Bonus points if you have an understanding of basic internet copyright laws

Please note this is a short-term (roughly 3 months), part-time (3 days per week) contract opportunity, with the potential for extension. The pay is $22 p/h with an anticipated 250 hours of work. Quality of work bonus may be available.

Submissions are accepted until June 9th, 2024.
