FB Education Services is an early intervention program that offers a comprehensive range of programming and support for children during their early developmental years. We are dedicated to providing educational opportunities that guide and support the unique needs of each child, helping them reach their full potential. FB Education Services is an Alberta Education approved community-based Early Childhood Services (ECS) operator. Our program focuses on identifying needs, ensuring children receive appropriate education and support during these critical stages of growth and brain development. Support is tailored to each child by various team members including certificated teachers, brain development technicians, brain and behavior specialists and registered therapists.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of early intervention programs designed for children with developmental delays or disabilities.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators, and other professionals to ensure the effective delivery of intervention.
  • Provide individualized support to children based on their specific needs and developmental goals.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personalized educational plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's achievements, challenges, and interventions.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress and discuss strategies for supporting children at home.
  • Collaborate with therapists, educators, and other team members to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to intervention.
  • Implement behavioral support strategies as outlined in individualized plans.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Provide assistance with personal care activities, if required, ensuring the well-being and comfort of the children.
  • Engage children in developmentally appropriate play and learning activities.
  • Encourage social interactions and participation in group activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
  • Provide appropriate supervision during activities and transitions.
  • Adapt interventions and activities based on the evolving needs and progress of each child.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in responding to unexpected situations.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to early intervention.


The successful role holder will need to have a positive attitude, quick thinking, problem solving skills and the ability to fulfill competing priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Currently Enrolled in a Bachelor's Program or ECE Diploma Program
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field, or are actively pursuing an Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma.
  • Recent graduates with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field, or those who have completed an ECE diploma, are encouraged to apply.
  • Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check" (Mandatory).
  • Valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment (Mandatory).

Additional Considerations:

  • Completion of coursework related to child development, early intervention, or a related field.
  • Basic coursework related to early intervention practices and strategies


This position is a part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program with funding provided by Service Canada.

Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered:

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person on whom refugee protections has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
  • Legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial legislation and regulations (international students on a work/study permit are not eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs Program).
  • Youth awaiting a refugee status ruling, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, youth visa or work visa are ineligible.

Work Schedule:

  • Working Hours: 35 hours/ week, Monday - Friday
  • Start Date: Tuesday, 24th June, 2024
  • Work Duration: 8 weeks
  • Pay 22.50/hour
