Our client is seeking a trustworthy, proactive individual to join their expanding team as a Working Site Supervisor. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including staff management, project oversight, safety protocol enforcement, and site procedure implementation. The ideal candidate is experienced, responsible, and team-oriented, capable of performing physical labor and operating various hand and power tools as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee day-to-day operations on commercial and retail construction sites, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Scheduling: Collaborate with the project management team to develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring timely completion of project milestones.
  • Team Supervision: Manage, schedule, and supervise sub-contractors and field employees to ensure efficient work and excellent service delivery.
  • Leadership: Ensure projects are executed according to approved construction plans, specifications, and codes, maintaining high standards throughout.
  • Reporting: Maintain detailed daily reports tracking site progress, events, inspections, and other relevant information.
  • Multi-project Oversight: Supervise multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of site supervisory experience in commercial construction.
  • Expertise in reading blueprints.
  • Experience with both interior fit-ups and new commercial building construction.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Thorough, hands-on knowledge of Building Codes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and listening.
  • Ability to motivate and manage construction workers effectively.
  • Safety-oriented with a thorough understanding of all safety requirements and regulations.
  • Schedule-oriented with a commitment to delivering quality finished products on-time and on-budget.
  • Up-to-date safety certifications in WHMIS, CSA Supervisors Training, Safety Awareness, First Aid, Working at Heights, and Elevated Work Platform.
  • Ability to perform handyman tasks as needed, with mandatory carpentry skills and tool usage.

Job Type:

  • Full-time, Permanent

Salary:

  • $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
