Maintenance Electrician

About Penta

We are an agricultural manufacturer specializing in the production of TMR mixers, spreaders and dump boxes. With over 25 years in business, we've proven to be a leader in the development and production of innovative and robust agricultural farm equipment.

We have two production facilities in Ontario located in Glencoe and Thamesville. Our products are manufactured in our Glencoe facility and then transported to Thamesville for final assembly and shipping.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join our Maintenance team in Glencoe, ON. The successful candidate will perform a variety of electrical functions all aimed at maintaining and improving the efficient operations of our production facility. The core responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical components, on equipment, and the facility
  • Completing day-to-day preventative and corrective maintenance; noting system conditions and deficiencies, and providing recommendations for enhancement and repair
  • Planning, designing, and installing updated electrical infrastructure for new installations.
  • Maintaining a stock of key items for each piece of equipment and facilities.
  • Working in accordance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and the Electrical Safety Authority codes and standards

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a valid Red Seal certificate as either a 442A or 309A
  • Has 3-5 years of hands-on industrial experience
  • Is mechanically inclined and is comfortable assisting our maintenance team with mechanical repairs and new installations
  • Is an analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability
  • PLC knowledge for upgrading and troubleshooting machine operation and software is considered an asset
