THE ROLE

As a forklift driver you will be working in a manufacturing facility, moving pallets in and out of the building. This is a great temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a mid size facility for a reputable and leading company in a distribution industry. You will be working in a team environment on the afternoon shift. This is a growing company that is very busy right now. This position is located inSmithville and is NOT on a bus route.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• This role would work primarily outside, in all weather conditions, their main responsibilities would be to keep the yard neat and tidy and organized
• Conduct a daily pre-inspection and operational check of the equipment and work area before the start of the shift, and before or after each break or lunch schedule, or more often if needed.
• Material Handling using forklift
• Loading of the trucks
• General warehouse duties

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years experience as a forklift driver
• Used to driving forklift outside in all weather on gravel, uneven terrain, when it is icy or wet.
• Very competent FL operator with previous outdoor experience.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
• Work safely and follow all company policies, procedures, and work practices
• Have a great team attitude and willingness to help
• Good communication skills
