As the on-site Construction Site Supervisor, oversee major projects such as luxury condominiums, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, schools, car dealerships, and more.
MISSION
The Construction Site Supervisor coordinates and supervises all on-site construction activities in accordance with project scope, contract requirements and overall financial targets.
The Pod Group is partnering with this company to place a proactive and detail-oriented leader to fulfill the role of the Construction Site Supervisor.
PRIORITIES
- Plan, schedule, and ensure the successful performance of all onsite requirements, including trades, safety, financial and project targets.
- Ensure the effective management of all trades in completing work on time and on budget.
- Consult with building owners and tenants to determine build-out needs, emphasizing mutually beneficial solutions and outcomes.
- Ensure documented communication with all parties for build-out progress throughout the project.
- Draw up estimates for construction projects including labour, materials, and other related costs.
- Implement cost-effective solutions and project management techniques throughout the project.
- Hire, train, and assign contractors to the project.
- Coordinate all construction project activities and services across the construction team.
- Oversee a strict build-out schedule, ensuring milestones are reached and deadlines are met.
- Maintain a daily log of build-out progress.
- Perform walk through and after care instructions with landlord and tenants after project completion.
- Complete additional and ad-hoc projects and duties as required.
Requirements
TALENTS & EXPERTISE
- 5+ years of experience in build-out construction.
- 2+ years of experience as a construction superintendent.
- Proficiency and experience in Excel/Google Sheets and AutoCAD.
- Experience in team and project management.
- Ability to effectively work with and manage a large team of contractors and subcontractors.
- Analytically and mathematically minded.
- Critical thinker and problem solver.
