The Optimization & Training Specialist is responsible for creating a positive customer experience and overall relationship management through optimizing equipment and supporting the equipment demo program.
What Does an Optimization & Training Specialist Do?
- Conduct in-field equipment optimization including with tractors, air drills, sprayers, combines, forage harvesters, and haying equipment to enhance performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical and mechanical issues including displays, GPS, application control, telematics, precision harvesting systems, section control, mapping, and variable rate in cab technology.
- Evaluate customer equipment needs and proactively propose effective solutions.
- Develop, sell, and deliver machine optimization plans to customers while providing on and off farm support.
- Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to agriculture equipment optimization.
- Work closely with all departments to address the needs of customers.
- Build, coordinate and deliver customer clinics.
- Deliver in-house training on new and current equipment optimization best practices to all departments within the dealership.
RequirementsWhat You Bring To The Table
- Post-secondary diploma or equivalent in a related technical, agricultural, or mechanical program.
- Previous experience in a dealership environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of John Deere agriculture equipment and technology.
- Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate procedures and training material effectively to customers and employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service and support.
- Ability to collaborate and work with cross-functional teams, including management, employees, and external customers.
- Strong technical background and proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
