Safety Administrator

CGC Inc. is recruiting a Safety Administrator for our Quarry in Little Narrows, NS!

What we offer:

  • Hourly rate ranging from $30-$35.64 per hour
  • Hours are Monday thru Friday from 7am-3pm

The work you'll do:

  • Lead digitization of site training programs & documentation
  • Conduct training needs assessments and gap analysis
  • Work with your safety team partners, site supervision, and others to develop and continuously improve training programs
  • Provide expertise on site training strategy and methods
  • Participate in Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee
  • Guide employees on the development of work instructions, procedures, etc

What you'll bring:

  • A diploma in a relevant discipline, preferably OH&S, with at least 3 years of work experience in a training capacity
  • Comfortability interacting with team members at all levels of the site & spending time in the field where the work happens
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation including Nova Scotia Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • High level of proficiency in the use of digital tools and platforms
  • Excellent presentation skills with proven experience in the development and delivery of training programs
  • A track record of great work performance, attendance, and safety behaviors.

Because the Safety Administrator role is safety sensitive, a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening is required. Successful completion of a skills assessment is also required to move ahead in the selection process.
