Title: Quality Operator

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Quality Operator for our plant in Calgary, Alberta.

As a permanent and full-time position, this offers a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their technical and analytical abilities in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation. As a key member of the Joint Treatment department, you'll be responsible for conducting meticulous inspections throughout the production processes in a dynamic product development and batch production setting. While following established guidelines and prioritizing safety, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and autonomy in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Duties and responsibilities of the Quality Operator include:

  • Monitor the production process and ensure consistency of procedures.
  • Perform accurate and meticulous product testing as outlined in the departmental procedure manuals including but not limited to raw material, finish goods testing, and batch processing.
  • Handle all receiving market deviations and conduct inspections and investigations accordingly.
  • Document any variation from standards and maintain records of inspections and non-conforming materials.
  • Proactively improve processes and procedures where necessary to ensure efficiency.
  • Have an ability to recognize and react to adverse trends, non-conforming material, or poor product performance characteristics on manufactured products.
  • Act as a liaison in coordinating and resolving complaints and concerns, relative to quality performance, investigations, system audits, and corrective actions.
  • Assist in the operating and auditing of CGC Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWIs/JSAs and Standard Operating Procedures, as required.
  • Maintain a document and sample control database.
  • Embody our core values such as safety, integrity, efficiency, and innovation while demonstrating creativity in problem solving.
  • Participation in projects and other tasks as assigned, including but not limited to Lean Six Sigma and other housekeeping.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Demonstratable skill to work within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to creatively problem solve with an emphasis on safety within a process driven work environment.

Hours - Monday through Friday - 6am-2:30pm

Pay - $31.65 starting pay
