There is an immediate opening for a Weld Shop Manager at our Saskatoon location.The Weld shop consists of 6 to 12 welders, fitters and fabricators. The Weld Shop Manager willensure that production efficiencies are maximized through the effective use of the equipment and personnel and the organized way they execute the priorities within the schedule. They will have strong leadership qualities and be capable of motivating and retaining skilled welders and fabricators. The manager will assist and lead shop staff in setups and processes, dispatch and coordinate incoming work, monitor and purchase weld shop consumables, coordinate and order coatings and outside vendor inspections and manage the flow of materials to and from the stations.They will work closely with the Project Coordinator's and the Quality Control Manager to provide the customer what they need, in the time that they need it and with the quality results that they expect.

The ideal candidate would have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively manage employees to realize their full potential. The ideal candidate will be a Journeyman Welder and / or steel fabricator or equivalent with 10+ years of experience. They will have supervisory / leadership skills and better than average organizational and communication skills.
