Salary: $70,000, based on experience

Join Canadian Space Services Ltd. (“CSS”), a dynamic government and industrial contractor dedicated to advancing radome technology across diverse landscapes, from Canada to other global locations. CSS specializes in field services, delivering top-notch installations, maintenance, and repairs on radar sites, adding strength to our clients' communications and surveillance systems. We are seeking a proactive and driven Operations Coordinator, on a full-time permanent basis, to spearhead project management and optimize operational efficiency.

Location: Carp, Ontario (Hybrid Office/Work-from-Home). Some travel to project sites is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Safety Leadership: Foster a culture of safety compliance, overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly protocols. Lead incident reporting and investigations, collaborating with safety consultants to bolster our safety culture.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive project efficiency and streamline communication channels with management, field teams, and clients. Actively contribute to internal and external meetings to enhance project outcomes.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate field teams, engaging closely with Field Leads, Supervisors, and Technicians to maximize performance. Cultivate trust and rapport between technicians and management for seamless collaboration.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure the accuracy and completion of field documentation and project reports. Continuously refine processes and procedures to enhance operational efficacy.
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate site communications, project logistics, and procurement activities, including travel arrangements, supplier engagements, and inventory management.
  • Resource Management: Oversee equipment, tools, materials, and warehouse inventory, ensuring availability and organization to support operational requirements.
  • HR Support: Assist in recruiting efforts and lead training initiatives for current technicians to foster skill development and team cohesion.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in logistics, scheduling, and managing field teams, preferably in a construction or industrial environment. Experience in field service technician roles is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Dropbox, and related computer tools. Technical knowledge of radar systems and radomes is a plus.
  • Certifications: Possess or be willing to obtain certifications including Confined Space and Rescue, Occupational Health and Safety, First Aid and CPR, Working at Heights, and Elevated Work Platform.
  • Education: High school diploma with some post-secondary education required.
  • Other Requirements: Valid Canadian Driver's License (Class G or better). Ability to obtain a federal Secret level security clearance in Canada.
