Salary:

Egg Farmers of Canada is presently seeking an Accounting Coordinator, Revenue to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the Finance, the primary responsibilities of the role include the accurate record keeping of levy revenue, sales invoices, accounts receivable, and the purchase and sale of eggs.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate accounting and records of levy revenue reported and remitted.
  • Prepare quarterly reconciliations of levy receivable from provincial/territorial partners.
  • Prepare invoicing to various partner organizations for miscellaneous sales and recovery of expenses.
  • Assist Financial Analyst with accounts receivable reporting and monitoring, reconciling accounts receivable disputes, and calculating and invoicing for interest owed on overdue accounts.
  • Assist Inventory Coordinator with the accounting activity of the purchase and sale of eggs under the Industrial Products Program.
  • Create and generate various reports as needed and/or requested and demonstrate ability to understand and provide feedback on data.
  • Correspond with various stakeholders through email, telephone, and virtual/face-to-face meetings.
  • Other duties as needed or required

Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge of standardized work methods, processes and approaches related to office coordination and administration.
  • Understanding of general accounting principles.
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative and be results-oriented.
  • Mathematical and/or accounting skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to coordinate the execution and timing of multiple activities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, in particular Microsoft Excel and MS Dynamics Great Plains).
  • Ability to use various software applications.
  • Ability to read and understand financial documents is required to complete day-to-day tasks (e.g. financial statements, reviewing budget and accounting activities/procedures, invoices).
  • Writing skills are required to prepare reports, record information and communicate with other staff with respect to revenue and receivables issues.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations is needed to complete job tasks (e.g. invoices, bank deposits or financial calculations).

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum: 1 year post-secondary training in accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 – 3 years experience in an accounts receivable role with similar responsibilities.
