As a key member of our customer service team, the Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery for our clients in a designated area. They ensure optimal functioning of equipment, make sound business decisions, and deliver exceptional customer support.
Responsibilities:
Machine Servicing:
- Install and repair equipment promptly, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Stay updated on technical knowledge through training and self-learning.
- Manage parts inventory efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Liaise with manufacturers to resolve service issues.
Customer Support:
- Provide comprehensive machine demonstrations, start-ups, and training.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and closing of issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders and reports.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a machine service technician.
- Post-graduate certification in relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of machinery electronics, controls, and mechanics.
- CNC experience and fabrication skills are advantageous.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and collaborate effectively.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Work normal business hours and may, from time to time, be required to do some work in the evenings or outside normal working hours;
Able to work on a machine for long periods of time;
Able to work on a computer for long periods of time;
Able to concentrate for extended periods and maintain attention to detail and accuracy;
Able to stay focused and productive in a busy, open area; and
Able to manage multiple work orders and deadlines.
