Controller

Position Overview:

Lambert Nemec Group, Winnipeg's leader in Permanent Recruitment, has partnered with our client in the search for a Controller. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will oversee financial management, ensure efficient financial processes, strategic planning, and contribute to achieving the company's growth goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of accounting such as AP, AR, and Payroll in an efficient and effective manner

• Lead, guide, and evaluate the Accounting department with effective management and mentoring skills.

• Prepare annual budgets and forecasts, and set strategic objectives

• Oversee completion of all daily accounting tasks and regulatory reporting

• Collaborate with both internal team members and external accountants to compile year-end working papers and review engagement schedules.

• Internal financial statement preparation along with preparation of other financial reports following generally accepted accounting principles

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of policies, processes, and procedures to identify areas for improvement
• Inventory and COGS analysis experience an asset

• Other financial and operational reports as required
  

Requirements:

• A Canadian professional Accounting Designation CPA (CA, CGA, CMA)

• Proficient in technology, with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.

• Demonstrated strong leadership abilities

• Excellent communication skills

Rewards:

• Base salary $80K - $110K
