Are you ready to take the world's #1 smash hit animated series to the next level? The award-winning, action-packed and loved-by-every-child-on-Earth series PAW Patrol is entering its second decade of production, with BIG plans ahead!

We're looking for a talented 3D Animation Director to join the production of “Paw Patrol Specials” based on the world-wide hit “Paw Patrol”.

Responsibilities:

• Attend production launch meetings and cite any animation concerns
• Meet with the Director(s) regularly to understand the vision and overall direction for the project
• Communicate that vision to the animation team, and supervise the animation process
• Direct and coordinate animation, instructing animators on the position and the angle of their shots, acting of the characters and the timing of their motions
• Keeping the animation a consistent quality as per the director's expectations, while delivering on schedule
• Check in with the Animation Tracker and leads to remain aware of where each Animator is within their assignments
• Communicating regularly between all production departments to make sure all needs are met in pre-production, production AND post production
• Direct and coordinate animation fixes and enhancements as per instructed by the Supervising Director
• Interpret and address any notes or concerns from Clients and Studio Heads.
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an Animation Director/ High level and extensive experience as an animator
• Bachelor's Degree in Film, Animation, or Fine Arts recommended, though not required.
• 3D software knowledge in an industry standard package
• Solid understanding of the possibilities and limitations of CG animation
• Excellent Communication and problem solving skills, specifically concerning communications with clients/Managers/Directors and other teams within the studio
• Leadership experience in a team environment
• Ability to clearly articulate abstract concepts (i.e. animation principles, design sensibilities)
• Strong knowledge of Maya, including constraints
• Experience producing high quality animation, at or above the level required by the production.
• Excellent planning and time management skills.
• Deadline motivated.
• Critical thinking skills.
