Summary

We are looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist reporting into the Talent Acquisition Manager. This role will support the talent acquisition function for Castlemain Group partnering with hiring managers and the relevant People Team leads to manage the recruitment process to source, attract and interview top candidates to provide subject matter expertise and talent insight, enabling the hiring managers to select the best quality candidates at all levels.

Building and delivering on hiring strategies to create a diverse pipeline of candidates is critical. Establishing connections, maintaining and leveraging a professional online and social media presence, and prospecting top talent through your network in support of driving key employer branding initiatives and projects as required.

Strong labor market knowledge with trends and competitor information along with the ability to identify and drive process improvements will help you re-imagine and support the internship program and provide business partners with insights and recommendations that will improve the quality of all external hires.

  • You will be an effective communicator and influencer to have the capability to negotiate with and influence internal and external parties;
  • You will also enjoy working in an engaging environment;
  • Maintaining accurate recruitment data and records;
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to hiring issues and constructively challenge selection decisions;
  • Ensure hiring managers are compliant throughout the recruitment process for both internal and external candidates;
  • Review and select appropriate candidates to be evaluated by hiring managers, ensuring objectivity of the process and compliance with local regulations and best practices;
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative;
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

We're looking for someone with:

  • 8+ years of related talent acquisition experience and demonstrated ability to effectively support varied recruitment assignments;
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with a positive style and an ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times;
  • Familiarity with laws (federal & provincial), regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment;
  • Successful background/reference check;
  • Self-identifying as Indigenous and/or having first-hand knowledge or experience living in and/or working with an Indigenous community will be considered an asset.

  • We employ a hybrid work model with the expectations that individuals attend their closest office if they are within a 45 km radius 3 days per week. If outside of this radius we encourage individuals to attend functions when possible to help drive connection to local colleagues and support a strong company culture.
