As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Dynamics is seeking an eager and enthusiastic experienced Material Handler – Forklift to join our successful Toronto team immediately. We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills in the manufacturing industry.

SUMMARY:

This position reports to the Supervisor of the department. The successful applicant will be supporting all Production and Warehouse areas as a Material Handler.

This is a unionized position - Subject to assessment of skills and qualifications by Active following 60 working days.

The pay rate after probation: is $21.83

We have 1 vacancy for the Day shift (7:00 am – 3:30 am)

ROLE:

• Perform all duties according to the OHSA&R and Company Policies.
• Conducts required checks to ensure accuracy of part identification where required.
• Pick and stage material for Production and store material in the designated warehouse areas.
• Pick and deliver packaging, bins, dunnage, racks, and related products to other departments as required by the relevant department managers.
• Advise of shortage in materials/goods to satisfy Production needs.
• Takes part and supports cycle count activities.
• Notifies Supervisor of damages/defects or other serious occurrences related to materials, equipment and facility.
• Performs housekeeping, clean-up and other 5 S-related activities as required.
• Any other duties as assigned.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Able to follow material handling and inventory procedures.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with Active Dynamics Component Parts.
• Minimum grade 12 or equivalent education.
• Written & oral aptitude in English.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Conscientious and punctual.
• Require Lift truck license.
