External Job Title: Data Scientist / Engineer - P3

Location: Remote Canada

Reports to: Sr. Manager / Principle, Data Science

The Role:

As an Analyst in Data Science, you will analyze and interpret all kinds of data in the automotive space: survey studies that measure customer satisfaction and vehicle quality, digital advertising and leads, retail transactions and pricing, vehicle repair history, etc. You need to provide technical programming expertise working with Python (PySpark), SQL, etc. in technology platforms such as Palantir and Google Big Query. Your job is to work closely with product managers, researchers, and scientists in the execution of programs to implement ETL pipelines, develop data queries to answer ad-hoc questions, design and build data models for different data solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, develop, and implement effective and reliable data solutions.
• Develop, test, and maintain data pipelines to support project, and analytics initiatives.
• Be able to develop accurate and good performance queries to answer ad-hoc questions
• Work on data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot data-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering.

Qualifications:

• Education: bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:2 or more years of extensive hands-on experience in data engineering and/or data science tasks.
• Proficient in SQL and Python.
• Knowledge of dimensional data modeling
• Familiar with ETL development processes and best practices.
• Bonus: Familiarity with PySpark and Tableau
• Fluent in English (read, write, and speak)
