DescriptionHi there, we're Article. We're an online furniture company creating remarkably better furniture experiences one sofa at a time. Our in-house Brand Creative team is on the hunt for a skilled Freelance Copywriter to join us (on an ad-hoc/standby basis) specifically focusing on providing coverage during vacation periods, and periods when the project workload exceeds our team's bandwidth.
Why We Need You:
In this role, you'll be an essential part of our team, stepping in to seamlessly maintain the momentum of ongoing projects when permanent team members are away. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our brand voice remains consistent across all channels, from emails to website assets, digital advertising, social media graphics, and everything in between.
We're looking for someone who not only has a keen eye for detail but also thrives in collaborative environments and really understands what resonates with consumers. You'll be working closely with people across the marketing team to interpret project requirements and deliver creative solutions that align with our marketing objectives.
Adaptability is key in this role. Our retail landscape moves quickly, and priorities can shift at a moment's notice. The ideal candidate will be comfortable juggling multiple projects and adjusting to changing deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
We are looking for someone with the flexibility to be able to come into our office if needed during team meetings.

What You'll Do
  • Answer briefs to provide creative deliverables on brief, on time, and on brand
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure holistic cohesion of our creative output (and our internal production team as necessary)
  • Leverage our Brand Positioning and Brand Identity Guidelines to ensure our output remains consistent
  • Work with Marketing team partners to optimize creative outputs
  • Present your work clearly and comprehensively to various stakeholder groups as required

Who You Are
  • Experience working in Marketing communications channels (email, ecomm/web, social media, advertising) is essential (in-house experience preferred)
  • Ability to maintain consistency in brand voice and style applications across all deliverables (adhering to our in-house guides)
  • For collaboration purposes, basic experience using Figma (or similar prototyping software), and knowledge of other relevant design software (Adobe Creative Suite). Experience using project management software (we use Wrike) is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Up-to-date with industry-leading digital marketing copywriting practices
  • Experience working with consumer retail brands is also an advantage
