Summary
We are looking for an experienced Private Chef for a private household with a main residence in King City, and a secondary cottage in the Muskoka region. The work period would be from mid-June to mid-December 2024, with a possibility of permanency.
The ideal candidate will have a proven longevity track record working with prominent households.
Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: Craft and prepare lunches and dinners for the household members (4).
  
• Grocery Shopping and Ingredient Sourcing: Manage the grocery shopping, including sourcing the best quality ingredients from local suppliers and markets.
  
• Kitchen Management: Maintain an impeccably clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all appliances and cooking tools are well-cared for and in good working condition.
  
• Special Occasions and Events: Prepare special menus for family gatherings, events, and occasions, both at the primary residence and the Muskoka cottage.
  
• Flexibility and Adaptability: Be willing to adjust schedules and menus as required, to accommodate the family's schedule.
  
• Travel: Ready and willing to travel to the Muskoka cottage, for a few days at a time, to provide meal preparation and culinary services.
  

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a private chef.
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
  
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to receive and act on feedback.
  
• Must have a valid driver's license.
  
• Flexibility with hours/days as required by the family's schedule.
  

Additional Information

• Tuesday to Saturday (flexibility required).
  
• June to December 2024.
  
• Possibility of conversion into a permanent position.
