POSITION OVERVIEW:

As the Project Manager (PM) you will support a variety of business functions to ensure project success. Projects are focused in medical communications deliverables such as accredited programs, publications, commercial materials, etc.

You will be strategically minded, tech savvy, a team player, eager to learn and manage multiple projects concurrently. You will be accountable for project success, identifying and managing potential project risks and opportunities, and motivating the team.

In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to plan and execute digital and medical projects to become the internal source of truth for projects you manage!

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project Success (85% of time)
    • Collect project requirements, obtain in-depth understanding of scope and client needs to support and collaborate with accounts team with client success measures
    • Develop project briefs, timelines, and project plans based on gathered information
    • Compile and maintain accessible documentation for all project movement
    • Execute project plan on time with the right resources, demonstrate problem-solving ability to identify when to escalate or reach out for assistance
    • Understand team capacity and needs, partner with resources to ensure deliverables will be delivered meeting quality standards (includes external partners)
    • Understanding who is responsible to support with specific tasks and reviews
    • Understanding what makes a good external partner to suit project needs, management of procurement process
  • Communication (10% of time)
    • Develop and adhere to meeting agendas, successfully facilitating on-time and on-topic meetings
    • Ability to gather all required crucial information whilst minimizing meeting burden
    • Clear, concise, and to-the-point communication skills to gather requirements, share needs, and deliver information in an efficient manner
    • Understanding of key client-facing information and updates, ability to summarize and share proactively with accounts team
  • Operational Excellence (5% of time)
    • Identification and flagging of process improvements to the Operations team
    • Project-level cost collection, tracking, management, and reporting based on pre-defined budgets


YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:

  • 2+ years of experience in project management; medical communications and publications experience is required, medical writers/account managers welcome
  • Knowledge of waterfall project methodologies
  • Demonstrated leadership in leading project teams and resources
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Project management certification is an asset
  • Bilingualism (French) is an asset
  • Essential skills: attention to detail, organizational proficiency, effective teamwork, prioritization

Pay range for this role: $70,000-$75,000 annually
