Precision Resource Canada, located in Cambridge, ON, is seeking a mechanically inclined individual with at least one year of experience in the manufacturing industry to join our dynamic team! This is a brand new induction heat treat cell. If you are looking for an exciting part time opportunity within the manufacturing industry, this position is for you!

These positions are 12 hour shifts (Friday and Saturday) days and nights.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates equipment in accordance with training and procedures provided. He/she will be expected to meet or exceed production throughput and quality targets. Report malfunctioning tools and equipment to lead hand or supervisor
• Lab duties include but not limited to: use, recording and analysis of information from first off and periodic inspections, drill press, mounting press, polisher, microhardness tester, etching, microscope.
• Loads and unloads parts (automated cell).
• Performs overall set up accurately in accordance with detailed set up sheets and ERP instructions
• Cleary identifies and communicates part issues in ERP system as well as interacts with other departments

Education and Experience

• Heat treat experience would be an asset
• Metallurgical lab experience would be an asset
• Graduation from high school or receipt of equivalent degree (GED)
• 1 year manufacturing experience
• Mechanical/technical aptitude an asset
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
