Job Overview:


The Aurum Group is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven HR Officer to enable the Aurum Group to find and support the right personnel to allow the Aurum Group to continue to expand. Personnel with experience in recruiting and working with trades are preferred as this role will be focused on recruiting initially eventually growing into handling other HR Functions. We are looking for individuals who are innovative and energetic. Individuals should be familiar with Employment Law rules and regulations, pay resolution and processing, and find alternative solutions to personnel challenges.


Job Type: Permanent, on-site
Location: North-York
Hours of Operation: 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM
Compensation- $60,000-$65,000/annually


Job Duties:


•Assisting in job posting creation and distribution on various platforms.
•Screen resumes and applications, conduct initial phone screenings, and schedule interviews.
•Coordinate interview schedules and provide candidates with necessary information.
•Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork, orientation, and training coordination.
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
•Ensure confidentiality and security of employee information.
•Assist in ensuring company compliance with labor laws, regulations, and HR policies.
•Stay updated on relevant employment laws and regulations.
•Other HR roles and duties as required.


Qualifications


•Post-secondary education (Human Resources, Labour Relations preferred)
•Human Resources (CHRP/L) designation is a must.
•2-3 years of prior experience in a Recruiting/Staffing/HR Coordination role preferably in a large workplace (100+ employees)
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Proficient in MS Office and Suite and prior experience working with HRIS. (ADP Workforce Now is an asset).
•Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
•Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
