JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a driven, passionate, and organized individual to join our team of Winnipeg drivers. The Winnipeg Driver role is responsible for the safe shuttling of our guests arriving and departing to/from the James Richardson International Airport and other duties as assigned. We are seeking an individual with a positive attitude, strong initiative, and the flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. This individual must have impeccable communication and interpersonal skills; an incredible guest experience is the most important component to our trips. The successful candidate will be one of the first and last faces that the guest sees and must understand the importance of the position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing a warm welcome to guests arriving to the Winnipeg airport, serving as the first Nat Hab representative they encounter on their tour
  • Shuttling luggage and other goods to and from the airports (eligible candidate must be able to lift up to 50lbs)
  • Tracking guests' flights and accommodating delays
  • Assisting guests with mobility issues and any other special requirements
  • Maintaining the fleet of Natural Habitat Vehicles (Gassing, washing, etc.)
  • Assisting field ops team with any last-minute schedule interruptions (bad weather, cancellations, etc.) on an as needed basis
  • Troubleshooting issues in the field
  • Reporting any vehicle issues in the field
  • Complying with and promoting all safety procedures

TIME & SEASONALITY

While your hours will vary daily, it is certain that you will need to work long hours to accomplish our goal of ultimate customer service. It is understood that at times, it takes early mornings and late evenings to accomplish our goals. We do our best to accommodate your schedule and ensure you have 8 hours of rest in between shifts. Accommodation will be provided overnight if needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Class 4 drivers' license and clean driving record
  • Strong track record of dependability and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize requests from a variety of team members
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. (drivers must carry all guest luggage as well as rotate through a luggage shift, loading and unloading all guest's luggage)
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR
  • Flexible schedule
  • Ability to withstand the Winnipeg Winter weather
  • Know your way around the city
  • Can think on feet and adapt to changes as they happen

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Nat Hab provides a comprehensive wage, a daily per-diem for meals, expenses as needed as well as branded gear.
