About the Opportunity

Protocase is currently seeking a Maintenance Lead whose role is not just about optimizing maintenance strategies, it's about inspiring and leading a team towards achieving collective and individual goals. As a Maintenance Lead, your primary mission will be to nurture and develop a team, while fostering an environment where innovation thrives, and efficiency is constantly pursued. You will play a part in ensuring our manufacturing goals are not only met, but aligned with creating a strong, collaborative, and empowering workplace culture. Protocase's two production facilities are busy environments where every enclosure, panel and part ordered is custom-manufactured from scratch.

Our customers around the world depend on us to make professional-grade custom sheet metal and CNC Machined products that meet their specifications, all within our signature 2-3 day manufacturing turnaround time. Our maintenance team is vital in the care and servicing of our operations equipment needed to meet these goals. Are you the one to lead the charge?

Essential Skills for a Role in Maintenance Leadership

• Empathy and strong interpersonal skills

• Apprenticeship program or a diploma or certificate program considered an asset
• Two or more years' experience in a troubleshooting/maintenance role
  
• Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  
• Strong understanding of instrumentation, electronics and automation
• Proven abilities in problem solving and strong decision-making skills
  
• Commitment to following procedures and attention to detail
• Self-starter who is able to take initiative, while also seeking the expertise of others as needed
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervising day-to-day maintenance operations
• Performance Coaching direct reports
  
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production targets
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives
• Performing regular maintenance on machinery and other equipment.
• Troubleshooting machinery malfunctions and outages.
• Updating and maintaining information within our maintenance software.
• Working with vendors to source required parts for both repairs and performance upgrades.
• Providing regular, thorough updates to management and other teams on equipment status.
  

In addition to working regularly scheduled hours in this position, there will be some after-hours work as required. This will be the case when crucial manufacturing equipment outages need to be addressed. Above all else, we need someone dependable who will take a sense of pride and ownership around keeping our machines running.

About the Benefits

The compensation package offers a base salary complemented by a performance-based incentive, tailored according to experience, qualifications, and achievements in the role. For the initial year, the salary range is anticipated to be between $49,305 and $60,305. At Protocase, we are committed to fostering professional growth and providing numerous advancement opportunities.

Please note that special consideration will be extended to electricians, with the compensation range adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
