Tax Manager Job Description:
- Deliver high-level tax planning strategies for clients
- Supervise and mentor tax staff, while providing continuous feedback
- Coordinate review special tax projects
- Assist with the overall management marketing of the tax group
Qualifications:
- CPA designation and completion of CICA In-Depth Tax Program& (or close to completion)
- Proficiency in CaseWare, Caseview, Taxprep, and Microsoft Office
- Experience in Canadian Tax at a public accounting firm at the manager level
- Ability to forge sound working relationships with partners, clients, and related advisors
- In-depth knowledge of private company Canadian income tax matters
- Strong technical skills with a creative flair to provide practical solutions
- Sound analytical, leadership, problem-solving skills, and professional judgment
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High standard of integrity and commitment to exceptional client service
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Committed to a life-long learning approach and constantly improving knowledge pertaining to this position
Required Skills:
- Canadian CPA designation
- Pursuing or completion of the CPA In-depth Tax course
- 5+ years of experience at another CPA firm in Canada
- Experience in Canadian income tax, tax planning and tax strategy with private company clients
- Experience managing and mentoring a team
