Mandate:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Director of Business Development will be responsible for prospecting and winning new business. The candidate will also be responsible for leading & motivating a team of Business Development professionals to gain new client relationships.
In this customer focused role, the successful candidate will manage and present solutions to prospects in the Ontario region, mainly including Customs Brokerage, International Air & Ocean Freight and North American Ground Transportation services.
Other Responsibilities:
• Execute sales strategies to attract customers and analyze growth opportunities.
• Work closely with key buying influences within the organization to develop solutions that meet company objectives.
• Meet or exceed quarterly or annual sales goals.
• Manage and build teams and develop employee talent.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration/Commerce or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years in a sales manager or director position
• Solid business acumen and operations background
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
• Previous sales experience in the 3PL Freight Forwarding environment is considered an asset
• Experience using Salesforce CRM is an asset
