Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable clerk to join our growing team. The candidate, above all else, must fundamentally value genuine inclusivity and believe that we, as a community, are ethically accountable for the health and wellness of all who live here.

Overview

  • Hours: 35 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday to Friday - 7 hours per day preferred
  • Wages: $25.05 - $27.70, on a 5-step wage grid

Summary

As a member of the Finance Team, the AP Clerk is responsible for the invoicing cycle from invoices in all the way to payments to vendors and cash management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processing all payments and expenditures, including invoices, statements, etc.
  • Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor inquiries regarding finance
  • Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
  • Processing bi-weekly cheque run
  • Oversight and reconciliation of cash management system
  • Assisting Finance Administrator and Finance Manager as required

Qualifications

Experience

Minimum 1 years of demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable.

Skills and Abilities

  • Skilled at using Sage 50
  • Competent user of Microsoft excel
  • Potential for career progression within finance
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to the finance team
  • Effective time-management and organizational systems

  • Requires Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check clearance
