DescriptionHi there, we're Article. We're an online furniture company creating remarkably better furniture experiences one sofa at a time. As the B2B Sales Assistant, you'll be responsible for working directly with our Trades Account Managers to support both inbound and outbound sales initiatives and drive top-line revenue objectives with a customer-obsessed mindset.
Why We Need You:
You will paired with one of our Account Managers and help support our Managed B2B customers by making every interaction delightful. Our Managed Accounts include Interior Designers, Architects, Property Developers, Business Owners, and other trade clients.
As the function continues to grow, we're looking for individuals to not only support our managed customers but also assist in creating sales collateral, supporting CRM maintenance and reporting, following and aiding in developing team best practices, and assisting with executing sales initiatives.You'll be learning about every part of the process while you complete your day-to-day tasks. As you gather knowledge and the team grows there will be opportunities for growth within the team.

About the B2B Sales team:
The B2B sales team runs our Trades Program at Article. This is the team that sells to clients who are looking to furnish large multi-unit complexes, corporate dwellings, OR office spaces. This team has been on a steady growth path, every year their revenue impact has increased.
You'll work alongside a team of 3 Account Managers, 2 fellow Sales Assistants, and 2 Account Development Representatives, reporting to the Manager, B2B Sales.
We are a hybrid team - you'll be in the office 3 days per week. Outside of in-office days, you'll be required to be in the office for client meetings and events, including seasonal after-hours events.
What You'll Do:
  • Handling incoming and outgoing B2B Managed Account contacts in a professional, sales-focused manner. Supporting customers through the entire purchase process, including presale and after-sales support.
  • Support deal conversion and account growth by promptly and thoroughly assisting the Sales Team and managing customers.
  • Processing quotes and sample/swatch requests, producing detailed invoices, and handling sales transactions.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of sales sequence activities in collaboration with the Account Managers and Account Development Representatives.
  • Assisting in executing sales collateral (i.e. product decks), working with cross departments to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Assisting in administrative tasks related to CRM upkeep
  • Assisting with the development of sales team best practices related to sales process, CRM (Customer Relationship Management tool), and other systems.
  • Assisting with Sales Team administrative tasks.

  • Offering order support to our customers by providing detailed product information, product recommendations, and design solutions.
  • Working closely with and communicating clearly to the logistics team to ensure smooth delivery service and meeting deadlines.
  • Working closely with and communicating clearly to returns and QA teams (i.e. Our in-house Quality team) to ensure product reliability and returns or replacements.

Who You Are:
  • +2 years of previous specialty sales/customer service experience.
  • We want someone who's looking to start a career in sales - you're looking to grow and learn in this area.
  • Having worked in furniture retail prior is an asset.
  • Legally able to work in Canada.
  • Completion of criminal background check.

The expected salary is $42,500 to $51,000. The actual base pay can increase beyond this range and will be based on various factors, including transferable skills, training and certifications, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
