Executive

As part of its continued growth, the Fengate Marketing team is seeking an experienced graphic designer to create and coordinate electronic and printed graphic materials. The successful candidate will deploy extensive knowledge of specialized design concepts, media, and software tools to develop comprehensive layouts and the production of marketing collateral. The Senior Graphic Designer will work directly with our Senior Manager, Design Services, and may also coordinate, lead, and guide the work of junior team members or students. Your work will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand identity and marketing efforts. The Senior Graphic Designer can be based out of either the Toronto or Oakville office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
  • Design print and digital materials such as brochures, ads, social media graphics, event and web banners, invitations, illustrations and infographics, Canva templates, PowerPoint decks, etc.
  • Design and update company websites
  • Edit designs and content based on feedback to final approval.
  • Ensure final designs are thoughtful, visually appealing and on brand.
  • Inspect proofs for accuracy and adherence to corporate standards.
  • Participate in marketing strategic planning meetings on a project-by-project basis.
  • Coordinate and maintain a library of photos, graphics, media, digital records, and other enterprise content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and impactful design solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices. Bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to our marketing campaigns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communication design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years direct work experience as a graphic designer.
  • Expertise in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and basic knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office Suite – Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, colour theory, and typography
  • Ability to think creatively, solve design challenges, and communicate complex concepts visually.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, strong work ethic, professionalism and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback
  • Self-motivated, able to work well independently as well as within a team.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software
