OPPORTUNITY:

HEABC has an opening for a one-year contract for a Senior Health Workforce Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, Health Workforce Data and Analysis, the Analyst is responsible for the maintenance, integration and development of health human resource information system.

The Analyst advises on data integrity issues, infrastructure enhancement opportunities, management of data collection and reporting commitments, and coordinates projects with internal and external partners in alignment with organizational goals. The Analyst also designs and produces valuable Health Human Resource (HHR) analytics and dashboards for internal and external parties, informs and supports health workforce planning and assessment, and advises on the collection and analysis of information in support of evidence based HEABC and partner strategies and decision-making.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintaining, troubleshooting and ensuring data integrity and accuracy of HHR databases.
  • Implements efficient means of data collection and maintenance.
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting and developing solutions to actual/possible data quality issues. Leads routine audits of all HHR systems to maintain high level of data integrity.
  • Assisting with the design and compilation of statistical information and prepares reports for internal and external partner clients relating to recruitment, classification, compensation, training, employee relations and health and safety.
  • Gathers requirements, design and builds analytic products and dynamic dashboards for both internal and external parties.
  • Acting as a key contact and trainer for BI users of all skill levels on data reports and data retrieval using BI tools.
  • Developing, updating and coordinating the preparation of educational and training materials and provides education and instruction in the use of BI tools and various HEABC databases.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

Undergraduate degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience.

  • Skilled user of MS SQL server, Business Intelligence software, Excel, and statistical and reporting software packages.
  • Experience in labour relations or human resources is an asset but not required. Excellent oral and writing communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS system administration and systems interface.
  • Advance knowledge of report writing, programming, testing and data administration.
  • Proven skill in table maintenance and proficiency with ad hoc query tools.
  • Strong project management, communication, and problem solving skills.

Salary Range: $86,398 to $124,197

Typical Hiring Range: $86,398 to $107,997

In determining salary, HEABC considers many factors including the successful candidate's skillset and experience as well as internal equity. The final salary offer will be at HEABC's sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
