Job Description

The office of the Sergeant-at-Arms and Corporate Security is currently looking to staff the Senior Security Program Manager position.

The Senior Security Program Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the Parliamentary precinct's Security programs. In this position, you will offer proactive leadership, direction, and strategic planning, overseeing the development of a multi-year master plan and annual plan for all operational and Long-term Vision and Plan projects. You will collaborate with Security Project Managers, the Parliamentary Protective Service, officials of PSPC, and House service providers, offering expert guidance to the Director of the Security Project Management Office and Technical Operations, as well as the Deputy Sergeant-at-Arms.

Qualifications

Education :

  • Successful completion of post-secondary education OR acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience.

Experience :

  • Experience in planning, managing, performing risk analysis, leading, delivering and reporting on programs of work containing multiple concurrent and sometimes interdependent large-scale projects;
  • Experience in managing business relationships with various internal and external stakeholders;
  • Extensive experience in developing briefing notes and/or business cases and presentation material for senior management including recommendations;
  • Significant and recent experience leading and managing a team working in a multidisciplinary environment.

Assets :

  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) accreditation;
  • Experience in working with architectural, electrical and mechanical plans;
  • Experience in leading teams in a matrix environment;
  • Significant and recent experience in managing projects in physical and operational security domains.
