POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for the following:
- Lead the monthly closing process
- Supervises junior finance team and reviews work for accuracy
- Perform monthly analysis by providing commentary and insights
- Identify and drive new processes to more efficiently and/or effectively achieve financial goals
- Assist with various ad hoc projects as needed
- Develop, recommend and partner to implement process improvements and tools that will help improve financial reporting and controls
- Acts as a liaison with the company's external auditors
- Other duties that align with the above requirements
WHAT YOU BRING!
- CPA designation
- Experience with month end closing process
- Experience leading a team of direct reports and reviewing work
- Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, model building, and financial functions). Experience with Sage Intacct is considered an asset
- Experience and knowledge of the quick service restaurant/food and beverage industry is considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to “roll up the sleeves” and work with the team in a hands-on capacity
- Analytical strengths with practical understanding of business drivers

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Some local travel may be required.
- Hybrid work model- 3 days per week in office (located in Etobicoke)
- Salary range: $85,000 - $98,000 per year
